South by Southwest (2022)

As a native Austinite, I was beyond excited to join the Art team at South by Southwest for their 2022 event (and their first in-person event in 2 years!). I created signage that was used throughout this enormous city-wide event, ranging from digital stage backdrops and jumbotron slides to printed towers, standing signs, window clings, and other directional signage to assist guests and make their South By Southwest experience as seamless as possible.
As we moved to being on-site during the event, I managed the Event Signs Volunteer Crew and completed on-site signage requests quickly and efficiently.
These tower units are large, 10 foot tall signs that were placed throughout the Austin Convention Center. They provided event hours, descriptions of particular Expo Features, and each tower had a unique QR code that would lead guests to a digital map of the expo floor.
Other signage included custom directional covers for Expo entrances and wayfinding throughout the convention center, as well as standing signs for tracks & summits, stages, and health & safety information.
